Strawberry

I have quite a few mosaic projects underway at the moment, such as a couple of portrait ideas, other taxi mosaics, and some interesting other things. But I took a break and decided to do something as a one off for a particular event. My local cafe and frequent coffee stop of mine, Small World Coffee in Princeton is hosting its annual art show next year. It is open to all, and I really wanted to come up with something this year. The show is titled The Love Show each year, and comes with an associated love theme. I have seen strawberries and their heart like nature used there in previous years, but I think a lego tiled mosaic would be a first!

It’s a 64×64 (20″x20″) mosaic, and as with the Lips mosaic is a tiled image on a stud background. For this one however, I used walled tile pieces to create a genuine Lego frame effect around the edge.
